PennDOT Driver’s License centers are gearing up for another RealID day on Monday.
While it is optional for PA residents, a RealID is needed if you want to fly a domestic commercial flight or to enter a government building that requires a photo ID or a military base starting on May 7th, meaning the deadline to get one is less than a month away. PennDOT says that over 9700 residents took advantage of the license centers being open on Monday to scan documents for the RealID process, and the average wait time for the process was 22 minutes.
Driver’s License facilities, like the one in the Indiana Mall will be open again this Monday for RealID document scanning, and in some facilities, you can get your license within the same day. A list of locations that will be open is on the PennDOT website. License centers will also be open on April 28th and May 5th.
