Bleier’s speech focused not on his playing career, but on some of the people that impacted his life that inspired him to be better, even when things were at their worst.
Audio PlayerBleier is a four-time Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers and a veteran of the Vietnam War. During his portion of the event, he talked about his life, including his time in Vietnam and his recovery and path back to the Steelers to help the team become four-time champions in the 1970’s.
The event at the HUB’s Ohio Room benefitted Brighter Tomorrow, whose mission is to help underprivileged African students by providing them with access to education, life skills and opportunities to advance in their lives. You can find out more at www.brightertomorrow717.com
