Status conferences will be held today in Indiana County court for several defendants, including an Ernest woman facing charges of child abuse.
Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco will preside over the conference for 26-year-old Paige Madison Walker. The State Police Criminal Investigation Unit received reports of abuse on February 26th at an apartment on Main Street in Ernest Borough. An investigation resulted in two counts each of aggravated assault of someone under 18, endangering the welfare of children, harassment and simple assault being filed on May 1st. The reported abuse went back to the start of February.
A status conference is also scheduled today for 24-year-old Reed Tantlinger. The Homer City man faces charges of homicide by vehicle while DUI, accidents involving death, two counts of DUI and seven summary driving counts for the crash that killed 27-year-old Hunter McCloskey. Tantlinger allegedly rear-ended McCloskey’s vehicle in the westbound lanes of Route 422 in Pine Township on January 7th of 2024. The impact pushed McCloskey’s car into several boulders and a utility pole on the side of the road.
