From IRMC
For 18 years, the Easter Bunny and County Sheriff Bob Fyock have visited IRMC. On April 17, 2025 that tradition continued.
The Easter Bunny Foundation is a non-profit corporation which was founded by Sam and Eleanor Meiner in 1995. It was officially endorsed by the National Sheriffs’ Association in 2005. The mission of the foundation is to partner with Sheriffs’ nationwide to visit hospitalized/sick children during Easter.
Our first stop was at Registration, where we met a young boy eagerly waiting to see the Easter Bunny. From there, we visited different areas of the medical center. Next, we made our way to the Pediatric Care Center, where we met 4-year-old Harper, who was excited to see the Easter Bunny, and her 6-month-old sister Kelsey. We also met Scout, another 6-month-old, and Callen, just 4 weeks old—both celebrating their very first Easter.
The Easter Bunny then visited IRMC’s Center for Wound Healing, bringing smiles to both staff and patients.
Our final stop was the Human Motion Institute, where we met Adalyn. As we were leaving, we were warmly greeted in the lobby by three very excited siblings—ending the visit on a joyful note.
The Easter Bunny surprised everyone with a complimentary plush stuffed bunny and coloring book. Maximus Julin and John Cross, of the Indiana High School Leadership Club, kindly volunteered their time.
“It is always a great opportunity for me to show the human and caring side of law enforcement and our public service. Seeing all the smiling faces of everyone, the patients, family members, visitors as well as the hospital staff when they see the Easter Bunny really gives you a great feeling. It makes it all worthwhile,” stated Sheriff Fyock
