Yesterday, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro offered an update on the investigation into the arson on Sunday at his residence.
At an event in Hershey on Wednesday, the Governor said that his focus has been on being a good dad, husband and Governor, and has talked with his children about what happened. He said that while the events were bad, he and his family have received a lot of support from former governors and other lawmakers in Pennsylvania from both sides of the aisle to the state’s citizens. He added that while people have tried to put a political spin on the situation, he is choosing not to take part in that.

The Governor also said he and his family will join celebrity chef Robert Irvine to serve lunch today to the firefighters from the Harrisburg Fire Bureau as a thank you for what they did on Sunday and what they do every day to serve the community.
Meanwhile, State Police have announced an independent review will be conducted into security at the Governor’s residence. Shapiro said it is warranted, but believes it will only help the department.
