CURVE OFFENSE FALLS FLAT IN LOPSIDED LOSS TO PATRIOTS

The Altoona Curve offense went nearly silent in a 12-1 loss to the Somerset Patriots on Friday at PNG Field.

The Patriots put themselves out five-nothing in the first three innings, before the Curve put up their only run in the 4^th when Mike Jarvis hit an infield single and beat the throw, allowing Sammy Siani to score.  But it was all Somerset the rest of the way with one in the 6^th inning, 2 more in the 7^th and four in the eighth.

The two teams will play again today, with Po-Yu Chen starting for the Curve.
