With Aaron Rodgers still publicly undecided on his future, the Steelers enter NFL Draft Week looking for help at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, defensive line, and the secondary, while staying mindful of the TJ Watt contract talks and a possible trade of Watt or erratic wide receiver George Pickens. That’s a lot of work for coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan.
It seems every NFL “insider” has a different opinion of the Steelers’ moves on draft day, but all seem to agree that at some point – in some round – they will take a quarterback. Rodgers said last week that “the people who need to know” his decision already know, and that would seem to include the Steelers, but they have not said whether or not they know.
The first round of the NFL Draft is Thursday from Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
