An Apollo man accused of trying to break into a business waived his preliminary hearing last week in Armstrong County Court.
Jeff Albert Manchini was ordered to remain in jail in lieu of $20,000 as he awaits his trial. The 46-year-old man was charged with felony burglary, criminal trespassing and criminal mischief for the incident at the Apollo Trust Company building on North Warren Avenue earlier this month. Authorities say he used two screwdrivers to break a glass pane on the outer door of the business, got into a vestibule, and broke a single pane on another door and damaged an electronic panel while inside.
No word on when the trial will take place.
