A Vandergrift man who was a former policeman and security officer in the Homer-Center School District waived his preliminary hearing in court earlier this week.
Troopers charged 59-year-old Anthony Depanicis with corruption of minors for incidents that go back to when he was a policeman in Vandergrift. He allegedly had sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl about 100 times in the early- to mid-1990’s in Westmoreland County. After he was a policeman, he was hired as a security officer at the Homer-Center school district, but was fired when the charges were filed.
A formal arraignment hearing is scheduled for May 28th in front of Westmoreland County Judge Meghan Billik-Defazio.
