This image shows the probability of 2 inches or more of rain by 8AM Saturday morning. This is not the official forecast (which 0.75″ to 1.25″ on average). We just wanted to highlight the areas that COULD see much higher amounts due to more robust showers and thunderstorms.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE FACING VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANIES

The spring has been a difficult one for first responders, with fatal accidents, wildfires, and the storms and resultant power outages.  What are the biggest challenges facing volunteer fire companies?

Personnel.  The average age of a Pennsylvania firefighter is 48.  
Equipment.  New fire trucks start at $500,000 and can top $1 million.
Mandates.  Their training requirements are too difficult.
Danger!  A first responder is always in jeopardy.
All of the above and more!
