Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas will be busy today with plea and sentencing hearings, including four for a man who was charged in one case with stealing from the Upstreet Ace Hardware Store.
38-year-old Anthony Walker of Indiana pleaded guilty to conspiracy to both retail theft and theft by deception in connection with the incident at the store in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street. Police said he and 41-year-old Patrick Serridge of Indiana took over $1400 worth of merchandise from the store on January 16th. He will also be sentenced for guilty pleas to charges of possession of a controlled substance from July and December of last year and retail theft from February of 2024.
Another person scheduled for sentencing in multiple cases today is 40-year-old Dennis Lewis, Jr. He pleaded guilty to charges of retail theft in cases from August and September of last year and resisting arrest in September of 2024.
