An investigation is underway into alleged inappropriate behavior at the United High School.
State police confirmed the investigation this afternoon, saying it centered around an accusation of corruption of a minor. Troopers are working with school district officials and the investigation is ongoing at this time. No arrests have been made and state police say there is no threat to students or staff.
Superintendent Richard Lucas released a statement to parents and to Renda Media, saying that when they received the report, they involved Children and Youth Services along with state troopers in the investigation. The district is following all protocols and said that necessary actions have been taken. Further details could not be provided due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and the fact that things are continuing to move forward. Lucas also asked anyone with information on the case to call State Police.
