“To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord.” (II Cor. 5:8) Ralph Kinter experienced this on Friday, October 4, 2024, as he left his earthly home for his eternal one.
The son of Clair A. and Florence (Ramer) Kinter, he was born October 5, 1937, in Aultman, PA.
He was a graduate of Laura Lamar High School, Class of 1955 and served in the US Army for two years.
Married in 1961, his wife Ginnalee (Virginia McGee) Kinter survives. Also surviving, his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and R. William (Bill) Johnson; granddaughters: Allison Johnson and fiancé Scott Horvath; Samantha Glass and husband Charles; Rachel Kinter; great grandchildren: Riley and Owen Glass; Penelope Kinter and Aurora and Maxwell Webber; sisters: Bonnie Eldridge, OK; Linda Mollo (Daniel), Homer City; sisters-in-law: Lillian Kinter; Andrea Rohrbach; brothers-in-law: Amas McGee (Susann); Paul Burkholtz and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his son Lance Kinter, and infant granddaughter; his brother, Harold Kinter; brother-in-law, Kevin McGee and sister-in -law Kathryn Burkholtz.
Ralph liked to build and after he retired from FMC (30 years) he and his crew did many projects. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. For many years Ralph was very active in his church, The Christian and Missionary Alliance, Indiana. Then, as his health declined, he started attending nearby New Hope Bible Fellowship whose congregation warmly welcomed and supported him.
Friends will be received on Saturday, October 12, from 4-5 PM at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Aaron Nygren, officiating.
Interment in the Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery will be private.
