A Blairsville woman is one of four officials facing charges of obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct for an incident on October 1st at a domestic violence center in Greensburg.
State Police from the Greensburg Barracks have charged Blackburn Center director Renee Reitz of Jeannette and staffers Mariia Robinson of Blairsville, Eleonora Marsili of Greensburg, and Adrean Orsini of Latrobe in connection with an incident at the center. Troopers and the Westmoreland County Children and Youth Services have been investigating the welfare of a four-year-old child and numerous allegations of child abuse since August 7th of this year.
On October 1st, both CYS and State Police received an emergency child custody order to transfer care of the four-year-old to CYS immediately due to safety concerns. It was discovered the child was living with its mother at the Center. When troopers contacted the staff and advised of the emergency court order, the center refused to cooperate with the order. Troopers were forced to get a search warrant and returned that night to serve the warrant, but staff again refused to cooperate with the warrant and took steps to stop the progress of authorities. Eventually, officers forced their way in to carry out the warrant and take the child into custody.
Along with CYS, troopers were assisted on-scene by the City of Greensburg Police Department and Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety.
