Renovation work at the United School District is just about complete.
The United School Board last night approved a general construction change order presented by MARMAT to provide materials, labor and supervision to install a new ADA-accessible ramp and pavement at a cost of $21,200. Superintendent Dr. Richard Lucas said that this was because they discovered that water was pooling in this particular area.
He added that there are a few items left in the auditorium, but the main parts of the project are complete.
The board also approved a request for Lucas, Donald Bowers, Lewis Kindja, Marbeth Truscello and Kayla Erwin to attend and present at the Multi-Tiered System Support and Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support advanced implementation forum in Hershey PA in mid-November. They were chosen for their successful implementation of these programs throughout the district.
