Sunday evening was a busy one for multiple fire companies as they were called to a fire on Route 422 in Pine Township.
The fire was first reported at 7:21 PM by Indiana County 911. Pine Township, Cherryhill Township, Clymer and Hope fire departments were initially dispatched, but Spangler, Nanty-Glo, Armagh/East Wheatfield, and Coral-Graceton were all called out to assist. Commodore fire department was also called in to standby for Clymer.
Details on the fire have not been released.
Two other calls for first responders were reported on Sunday. One of those was a vehicle accident at 3:51 PM on Oakland Avenue in White Township. Indiana Fire Association’s rescue squad, Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police were called out at the time. The other was for Saltsburg Fire Department members to assist LifeStat EMS with a call on Walters Road in Westmoreland County at 4:56 PM.
