Bonni Dunlap was officially appointed to the post of Indiana County Commissioner on Friday.
Dunlap was chosen by party officials at a meeting last week to take over for Robin Gorman when she steps down to become the vice president of Homer City Redevelopment, LLC. Dunlap was chosen from a list of five candidates who got to speak at last week’s special meeting.
A resident of Black Lick Township, Dunlap has been a county auditor since 2019. Before that, she worked for the county as the executive director of the housing authority and served as the Director of Human Services for 21 years.
Commissioner Gorman’ s last day of office is November 8th. Dunlap steps into office the following day and will fill the remainder of Gorman’s term.
