At a meeting this morning, the Indiana County Commissioners approved a grant agreement for the Jimmy Stewart Airport.
The agreement is for the Federal State Block Grant Program with PennDOT’s Bureau of Aviation to accept a $1.2 million grant, with a local match of $133,333.33. Airport Manager Rick Fuellner said the money will go to some recent projects at the property.
The commissioners also approved a transfer of $3,344,312 from their grant reserves to the county general fund budget. About $2.7 million of that money is ARP money that has been earmarked for county broadband projects.
The meeting also marked the final meeting for outgoing Commissioner Robin Gorman, who is entering the private sector as the vice president of Homer City Redevelopment, LLC. Her last official day as Commissioner is November 8th, and the following day, Bonni Dunlap will take over for the remainder of Gorman’s term.
