The Indiana Area School Board will meet Monday night with a full agenda that includes action in a number of areas. There are personnel moves, a review of some board and district policies, change orders for the Eisenhower Elementary School project – including a vote on the furniture in the building, at a cost of more than $488,000 – and there is a motion to approve the replacement of the landline phone system and enlist a new phone service throughout the district.
The Audit and Finance Committee will meet before the full board gathers. They will discuss the 2025-26 budget timeline and the budget impact for the hiring of new teachers in the Indiana Area district, which would amount to an estimated $125,000 per teacher.
