Criminal call hearings are on the docket today at Indiana County Court, including one for a man charged in connection with a robbery at a gas station in Shelocta.
32-year-old Alexander Pelletier of Williamsport is charged with simple assault and attempted theft for the incident on September 17th of 2010 at the Shelocta BP gas station. On that day, police said Pelletier went into the store and demanded money from the male clerk. The employee swung a vacuum cleaner at Pelletier, and the two got into a fight, where the clerk was punched in the stomach. Police were able to identify Pelletier through DNA evidence found on his bandanna that was dropped during the incident. He was taken into custody by Troopers out of Montoursville.
A third charge of robbery-inflicting serious bodily injury was not prosecuted.
