In the latest Fall Foliage report, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources says Indiana County is past its peak color.
Most of the state is in the “past peak” classification, while 22 counties located in the southeastern and southwestern regions are starting to see their fall colors fade. DCNR officials say in a Facebook post that dry conditions, cold nights and windy days have swiftly taken leaves off Pennsylvania’s trees, but many areas in the south are still showcasing vibrant fall colors.
Indiana, Armstrong, Cambria, Clearfield, Jefferson, and Westmoreland Counties are all under the “past peak” category.
