Indiana Borough officials will hold a special meeting tonight at the Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana County to talk about the ongoing inventory of historical resources in the borough.
More details on the survey will be presented tonight, and the public will also be invited to give their input. Planning consultant Jeff Raykes said that the area does have a lot of historic buildings in the area.
Eden Zenisek with Indiana Borough said that it’s not just preserving the obvious historical structures like Sutton Hall, the old courthouse and others, but the hidden gems as well.
The information provided by the survey will enable officials to make informed planning decisions around a community’s presentation goals and objectives and provide a deeper understanding and appreciation of the historic built environment.
The event starts at 6:00 at the Historical Society and it is open to the public.
