Earlier today, it was announced that Dave McCormick will be invited to join the Senate Orientation program.
McCormick had initially been denied permission to attend the orientation in Washington, DC as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said that his race had not been officially resolved, even though McCormick holds a lead of about 34,000 votes as of today. Because of the narrow lead with around 100,000 votes left to be counted, incumbent Democrat Robert Casey, Jr. has not conceded the race.
McCormick joins Ruben Gallego, who was also declined an invitation despite having won his race. Tomorrow, Republican Senators will vote for the next majority leader, who will begin serving in January.
