THEFT FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE
An Indiana man is facing theft charges in connection with an incident in early October.
Indiana Borough Police say 21-year-old Bernard Froio is charged with theft from a motor vehicle and public drunkenness following a tip they received on October 4, saying someone was “rummaging through cars” in the 800 and 900 block of Wayne Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Froio attempting to enter two locked vehicles and a third that was unlocked. Once he entered the car, officers took him into custody and found him under the influence of alcohol to a point where he was a danger to himself and others.
Officers found several stolen items in Froio’s possession. They found the owners of three items, including an Apple Macbook, a work badge, and a phone charger, while other unclaimed items were posted on the department’s Facebook page. If you or someone you know had items stolen between October 3 and 4, contact Indiana Borough Police at 724-349-2121.
Froio was charged via criminal complaint with theft from a motor vehicle and public drunkenness.
