A state police fire marshal has ruled that a Sunday morning fire in Pine Township was accidental, and was electrical in nature. Trooper Seth Helman set the damage at about $1,000.
The blaze at 45 South First Avenue in Heilwood broke out at around 11:30 Sunday morning at the home of 29-year-old Robert Oswalt the Second. There were seventeen additional family members living there, and all got out safely. The fire began in the basement.
The home is owned by Kathleen Barrett of Sarver, in Butler County.
