The Christmas tree that will be used for celebrations in Indiana Borough will be delivered on Monday.
The Indiana County Tourist Bureau and the Christmas Tree Growers Association will deliver the tree in the morning of November 18th. It will make the trip from where it was found, the former Emar Acres Farm in Saltsburg, to IRMC Park in Downtown Indiana, and put in place in IRMC Park. As that happens, IRMC Park, the area of North Seventh Street between Philadelphia Street and Nixon Avenue will be closed for the holiday season.
This year’s tree is a 30-foot Caanan Fir that was donated by Gregg Van Horn. After it is installed, it will be decorated throughout the week, with the official tree lighting to be held on Friday, November 22nd as part of the kickoff to the It’s A Wonderful Life Holdiay Festival.
We’ll have coverage of the tree lighting and the parade that follows on Renda Digital TV.
