Pearl A. Pyer, 94, of Homer City, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at Maple Valley Personal Care Home.
A daughter of the late August Klash, Sr. and Gladys H. (Albright) Klash, she was born Monday, Sept. 1, 1930, in Coral.
Pearl was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Homer City. For many years, she was a cashier at the A&P Grocery Store in Indiana. Pearl was also a beautician, where clients gathered at her beauty shop in her home. She enjoyed gardening, mowing grass and shopping.
She is survived by two sisters: Lexie Frederick, of Mo.; and Patty B. Sleppy and husband Dale, of Penn Run; and numerous nieces and nephews, who were like her own children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Pyer; a brother, Scott Klash; and a sister, Helen Bosley.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana, with Pastor Richard Leasure officiating. Interment will be in Armagh Cemetery.
