Tonight is the start of the annual It’s A Wonderful Life Holiday Festival in Downtown Indiana.
Along with the Big Balloon Build at S&T Bank Arena, Indiana borough will be busy with many different activities at a lot of locations in the Downtown Indiana business district. Activities start at 5:00 tonight at IRMC Park with hay rides, face painting, and a marshmallow roast and some hot cocoa. The Indiana Junior High spirit band will perform at 5:50 PM. The annual tree-lighting ceremony will be held at 6:30 PM. It all leads up to the start of the annual holiday parade at 7:00.
People are advised that Philadelphia Street will be closed to vehicle traffic in the area of IRMC Park and some of the surrounding area starting at 5:00 tonight, and there may be traffic on the side streets, so bring some extra patience tonight. To alleviate parking concerns, the Indiana Parking Garage will offer a special event rate of $5 per car while space is available.
You can watch the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies on our Facebook Page, and you can watch our broadcast of the parade on Renda Digital TV starting at 6:45 PM.
