Despite the cold and rain Friday night, many people turned out for the annual kickoff to the “It’s A Wonderful Life Festival” in Downtown Indiana.
Various holiday events were held throughout the Downtown Indiana business district, culminating in the tree-lighting ceremony and the annual parade that followed. Over 70 units were part of the parade this year. Parade organizer Hastie Kinter was thankful for the people who did show up to watch the parade.
Activities are expected to continue today at IRMC Park and throughout Downtown Indiana. This includes two shows at the Indiana Theater. One a radio reproduction of the play “The Shop Around The Corner” with Jimmy Stewart impersonator Brian Rohan and several local actors at 2:00 and an oldies show with The Jaggerz and special guests The Pittsburgh Belairs at 7:00 PM. And the Big Balloon Build to benefit the United Way of Indiana County continues today at S&T Bank arena.
