The Blairsville-Saltsburg school board will look to take the final step in hiring a new business manager for the district tonight.
The board will hold a special meeting tonight at 5:00 PM at the Saltsburg Middle-High School Cafeteria and there are only four items on the agenda. One of the items is to formally approve the contract for new business manager Gary A. Zuchelli. Zuchelli’s hiring was approved pending the approval of his contract at the regular school board meeting held on the 18th. Zuchelli was hired after the board’s previous choice for business manager, Ryan Kirsch, rejected the job offer from the school district.
Zuchelli will take over the position that was vacated when Eric Kocsis resigned in November of 2016. Kocsis had resigned to take a similar position in the Greater Johnstown School District.
Other agenda items include approval of an unpaid leave of absence for a district employee, the retirement of Blairsville Middle-High School Secretary Deborah Lutton, and advertising her position being up for hire within the district.
