The Pitt football program released the 2022 schedule yesterday, and it features five of the first six games at Heinz Field.
The season starts with the renewal of the Pitt/West Virginia Backyard Brawl – the 105th edition – on Thursday, September 1st. The Panthers follow that up the next week with the second edition of the Johnny Majors Classic, at home against Tennessee, on September 10th. In Week Three, Pitt will get a chance to avenge last season’s loss to Western Michigan, making the trip to Kalamazoo on September 17th.
Other Pitt home games include Rhode Island, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, and Duke.
