RAIL PLAN
PennDOT will conduct a virtual public meeting with updates to the Pennsylvania State Rail Plan on Tuesday, with an opportunity afterward for the public to offer input through an online survey.
The rail plan was last updated in 2020 and PennDOT is working with the Federal Railroad Administration on the 2025 plan, which will evaluate and document anticipated passenger and freight rail needs over the next twenty years.
The virtual forum is set for 4 to 5:30 PM and will include a question-and-answer session. The online survey afterward will be available through December 19th. PennDOT recommends you visit the link before the meeting starts.
