UPDATE: The preliminary hearing for Jeffrey Renwick has been continued on the request of his attorney. A new date has not been set. He will remain in Indiana County Jail. Bail was denied in his case as he was uncooperative during his preliminary arraignment.
WHAT WE FIRST REPORTED:
Three people are due in court today for preliminary hearings. One of them is charged in connection with an incident in Coral on November 14th
46-year-old Jeffrey Renwick is charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct for the incident on Cedar Street at 3:30 that afternoon, when people reported to police that shots were fired in the area. No one was hurt, but neighbors took shelter in their homes during the incident. Renwick was involved in a standoff with troopers for a few hours before he left the home and was taken into custody.
Also due for a preliminary hearing is 19-year-old Qiyam Muhammad, who is charged with aggravated assault, assault by a prisoner along with summary harassment and disorderly conduct for an incident on October 19th. He has remained in jail as he was unable to post bail related to this case.
Also due for a preliminary hearing today is Nicholas King of Creekside. He is charged with simple assault and harassment for an incident on November 18th. He was freed the same day on $500 bail.
