If you’re expecting gifts to arrive from Amazon within the next few days for Christmas, you might be waiting longer for your shipments as employees are launching a nationwide strike just before the big holiday.
Picket lines are up at facilities across the U.S., including in some of the biggest areas, like New York City, Atlanta, and Chicago. Pennsylvania has four warehouses, one distribution facility, and 12 Amazon fulfillment centers, including one in New Stanton, which is approximately one hour away from Indiana.
Gregory Dunn says he and his fellow Amazon drivers work hard for the company but want better working conditions.
Amazon officials said in a statement that the strike has not disrupted operations, but hundreds of fulfillment centers are expected to see an uptick in picket lines over the coming days, so a delay is possible.
