The United States Postal Service will suspend operations on Thursday for a National Day of Mourning for former President Jimmy Carter, who died December 29.
All regular mail delivery and retail services will not occur, and package delivery will run in limited capacity. Additionally, all USPS facilities across the nation are required to fly the U.S. flag at half-staff through sunset on Wednesday, January 29.
Regular mail deliveries will resume Friday, January 10.
