Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana couple with endangering the welfare of children, drug crimes, and firearms crimes.
Indiana Borough Police say on Friday morning around 6:45 AM, they were joined by agents with the Attorney General’s office and the SOG Team went to the home of Jonathan and Alison McLaurine in the 300 block of South Walnut street with search warrant in hand, and they found a large haul of drugs, including 91 stamp bags of heroin, crack cocaine, pills, and drug paraphernalia, along with a handgun. Police described the living conditions as “deplorable” and two minor children were living there.
McLaurine is charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver and endangering the welfare of children, and single counts of possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession of a firearm by a former convict. He was arraigned in front of District Judge Jennifer Rega and was placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Alison, the childrens’ mother, was also charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children, as she allowed her children to live in the conditions the police found them in.
