Kittanning-based state police made a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on Route 28 at the Freeport exit, and inside the vehicle they found two men and 56 bags of suspected heroin, plus a gram of suspected cocaine. One of the men was from Shelocta.
Police say the driver was a 61-year-old man from Kittanning and the passenger was a 49-year-old man from Shelocta. The driver consented to a blood draw for suspicion of DUI. Neither suspect has been publicly identified and the charges are pending the results of laboratory analysis.
