Two people are charged with retail theft in an incident on Friday at the White Township Wal-Mart. State Police say at 8:19 PM, two people stole approximately $312 worth of merchandise from the store. Police have identified the thieves as two women, one from Marion Center and one from Plumville. No word on what was stolen.
A Homer City woman was charged with simple assault for an incident at a home in Blacklick Township. State police say this happened last Monday between 9 and 10 AM. That was when the victim, a 32-year-old Homer City woman reported that 20-year-old Abigail Lynn Senick of Homer City was under the influence of alcohol and over-the-counter medications. Further investigation revealed that Senick had assaulted the 32-year-old woman during a verbal argument.
