A status conference is scheduled today for the case of a Homer City man charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI and other crimes.
Court documents show 24-year-old Reed Tantlinger will meet with Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco for the conference. Tantlinger is charged in connection with a vehicle crash on January 7th, 2023 that killed 25-year-old Hunter McCloskey in the westbound lanes of Route 422 in Pine Township as Tantlinger allegedly rear-ended McCloskey’s vehicle. The impact pushed the car into several boulders and a utility pole along the side of the road. Tantlinger fled the scene but was found at a relative’s house.
On top of vehicular homicide, he faces charges of accidents where the victim dies, two counts of DUI-controlled substance and seven summary driving counts. Jury selection is scheduled for May 19th.
