Last night, Indiana Borough Council approved advertising the 2023 comprehensive plan.
“Indiana 2030: Tomorrow Together” was presented to the council by Stewart Consulting Group. The plan has been seven years in the making, and the consultants gathered input over the last two years from the public at several events.
Borough Manager Nichole Sipos said that two of the biggest parts of the plan will be increases in park space and improvement of connecting corridors.
Next step for the plan its final approval. A reception will be held at the borough’s office in the courthouse annex building on February 18th at 6:30 PM, with a public hearing and approval of the plan to follow at 7:00. The plan will be put on the borough website, indianaboro.com for public examination.
The board also approved notices to proceed for two projects at the wastewater treatment plants for electrical work and for general and mechanical work.
