Another large financial gift has been donated to the IUP Proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine.
An anonymous donor has stepped forward and presented IUP with a $250,000 gift to the school. With this donation, the school has received over $31 million in private and government funding for school.
IUP’s Vice president for University Advancement Jennifer DeAngelo said she was overwhelmed by the support that alumni and friends of the university have shown for the school, saying they believe in the project and that IUP is the perfect fit for Pennsylvania’s first college of osteopathic medicine at a public university. IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll said that they were grateful for the donation and to everyone who plays a part in advancing the school.
Once established, the school is expected to generate $79 million in annual regional economic impact.
