At the quarterly meeting of the PASSHE Board of Governors this morning, IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll recommended Jackson White as the new student trustee to the university.
White, a sophomore who double majors in Political Science and Economics, and is minoring in Pre-Law studies, was selected by a search committee following an extensive review of candidates. Driscoll lauded White’s written application and interview, saying he “went over and beyond our expectations.”
Driscoll told the Board of Governors that White’s authentic personality had a big part in his selection.
White will begin serving on the Council after the current student trustee, Shagufta Haque, graduates in May, and then he will serve until his graduation.
