Indiana Mall is up for auction, and it looks like it will be sold soon.
According to the auction site Ten-X.com, the 44.84 acre site is up for sale, with the auction scheduled to end on Wednesday. The mall has been in operation since 1979, but over the last few years lost three of its four original anchor stores. The last original anchor store is JCPenney, and it now stands with new anchor stores Kohl’s and Harbor Freight, but over the last few years, the mall lost Kmart, Sears and The Bon Ton. The bidding started at $850,000, but the bidding is now up to over $3 million, according to the website.
In 2020, the mall’s ownership transferred from Zamias Services, Inc. to an unidentified bank lender. Zamias has been managing the mall since that time.
