One person was injured in a crash on Monday in Burrell Township. State Police say at 6:25 AM on January 30th, 45-year-old Erin O’Brien of Punxsutawney was driving south on Route 119 when she lost control of her SUV due to the snow on the road. The vehicle slid off the road and into a barrier just off the right side of the road. O’Brien was taken to IRMC for treatment. State Police say she will be cited for speeding.
State Police are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run crash that happened last Saturday. This was on Creekside Road in Armstrong Township between 2:45 and 3:00 AM. The unknown vehicle went off the road while headed east on Creekside road and hit an REA Energy utility pole. The unknown vehicle was pulled out of the ditch by a white pickup truck and then fled going towards Creekside.
State Police from the Indiana Barracks have released information on a crash on Route 22 in Derry Township that happened January 10th. 27-year-old Gabriel Caprio of Indiana was going west on 22 when he went off the road and hit a guide rail. No injuries were reported, but police say that Caprio was speeding and he will be cited for not driving at a safe speed.
