Dolores Mae (Ulrich) Wagner, 97, Indiana, formerly of Northern Cambia died Thursday, March 27, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born, December 3, 1927, in Portage, she was the daughter of Nora J (Croyle) Ulrich and H. Stanley Ulrich.
Dolores graduated from Barnesboro High School and worked as a bookkeeper prior to her marriage. Her life’s focus was enjoying time with her husband of 42 years and as a loving mother of five children. She was a devoted member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Northern Cambria, where she held various church leadership positions, and after moving to Indiana, she was a member and volunteer at Christ Episcopal Church and volunteered at Indiana County Carenet. She was a very talented vocalist where she sang at weddings and community events. She loved camping, reading, baking but most of all her focus was faith and family.
She is proceeded in death by the late John C. “Junie” Wagner, daughter Nora J Lantzy, parents, brothers Donald and Philip Ulrich, sisters Marsha Contrucci and Coralie Lawver.
She is survived by brother Barry Ulrich, Wadsworth, OH and children; Lynn (John) Gibson, Warren, OH; Jan (Dana) Mears, Fox Chapel; Edward (Susan) Wagner, Westmont; Thomas (Lynn) Wagner, Indiana. Her grandchildren: Jennifer (Chris) Eichorn, John (Sarah) Gibson, Jason (Lindsey) Gibson, Megan Mears, Lauren Mears, Alison Mears, Haley (Zachary) Snyder, Simon (Mary Grace) Mears, Clare (Paul) Stefanini; Joshua Lantzy and Aaron (Jackie) Lantzy, Matthew (Carrie) Wagner, Jonathan Wagner, Julia Wagner, John Wagner, Katie Wagner and fiancé Chaz Bowers. Great grandchildren: Jack, Ian and Luke Gibson; Thomas and Colin Gibson, Leah Clarke; Christopher and Alaina Eichorn; Saffron and Skyler Stefanini; Rocky Snyder; Ryann and Charlie Lantzy; also survived by her sister-in- law: Virginia “Ginny” Ulrich of Upland, Ca.
There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church, Indiana at 1pm, Tuesday April 1, 2025, Rev. William Geiger will officiate. Burial will follow in the North End Cemetery, Northern Cambria.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dolores’s name to Christ Episcopal Church, 902 Philadelphia St, Indiana, PA 15701.
