Steelers’ owner Art Rooney II says he “didn’t envision” the Aaron Rodgers decision taking as long as it has, but while he won’t wait forever, he will be patient “a while longer.”
Rooney says he’s optimistic Rodgers will be a Steeler, especially after seeing video of the quarterback working out last weekend with Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf.

General manager Omar Khan said on Monday that signing Rodgers would be a good move for the Steelers in the short term, but the team has to “find the long-term solution” at QB “at some point.”
The NFL owners voted yesterday to change the overtime rule for the regular season to match the postseason, where both teams get a chance to have the ball. They also approved moving touchbacks up to the 35-yard line and tabled discussion on the “tush push” and playoff seeding. Art Rooney voted in favor of eliminating the tush push.
