An Indiana County Fair volunteer just received a high honor from the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs.
Stephanie Nehrig of Homer City was named the Junior Fair Volunteer of the year at a meeting of the State Association of County Fairs in Hershey. Nehrig was selected from four finalists who represent the four county fair districts in Pennsylvania. Nehrig said it was a great honor to receive, and it was nice to hear that her work did not go unnoticed.
At the Indiana County Fair, Stephanie can be seen helping vendors set up their booths, change light bulbs at the fairgrounds and she also likes to help out the 4-H club, as she was a former member of 4-H herself. Stephanie is the grand-daughter of Ed Nehrig, who is the fair’s General Manager.
