Indiana Borough Police are continuing an investigation into an assault and theft as part of a home invasion that happened Wednesday.
In a media release, police say that the home invasion happened in the 400 block of South Sixth Street around 2:15 PM on Wednesday. The victims related to police that three to four people entered the rear of the residence by breaking down a door. Once inside, they assaulted at least two people with a pipe or club while demanding money and property. At this time, police say the only item that was taken was a cell phone.
The victims were not identified by name, but police say that they were two men, ages 20 and 22. They were taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police have interviewed several eyewitnesses, but as of now, the investigation is ongoing.
