A bad underground wire was the cause of a power outage late last night in the Blairsville area.
Penelec reports that the power went out for 1587 of its customers at 10:53 PM Thursday Night. Scott Surgeoner of Penelec said the cause of the outage was a bad underground wire that needed repaired and replaced. No word yet on where that wire was.
Power was restored to all customers around 1:48 this morning.
