A preliminary hearing is scheduled today for 34-year-old Jonathan McLaurine of Indiana, who is charged with drug offenses and endangering the welfare of their children.
Jonathan and Alison McLaurine were taken into custody at their South Walnut Street home early on January 26th after a raid by police and agents of the Office of the Attorney General. Police found 91 stamp bags of heroin, about a gram of crack cocaine, a handgun, pills, and drug paraphernalia. They also found that the home was in “deplorable” condition that, along with the presence of drugs, endangered Alison McLaurine’s two children.
Jonathan McLaurine is a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing a firearm. He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to deliver in 2002.
Jonathan McLaurine is due before Judge Jennifer Rega this morning at 9:30. He’s charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of endangering the welfare of children. Alison McLaurine is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children and a single count of receiving stolen property. She is due before Judge Guy Haberl for a preliminary hearing tomorrow.
